If you are not ready to change systems, this is the minimum that holds:
- One schedule, and everyone knows which one it is. Shared, not on one person's phone.
- A booking is not real until it is on that schedule. No exceptions for "I'll add it
later."
- Block turnaround time, not just the rental period.
- Put maintenance, registration and insurance dates on the same schedule as the bookings.
- Block drivers separately from vehicles if you rent with drivers.
- One person confirms, or the schedule is checked out loud before anyone says yes.
That will get you most of the way. What it will not do is survive growth. At around ten to
twelve vehicles the discipline required starts to exceed what a busy person can maintain,
particularly in the evenings when most enquiries arrive.
